I feel the bright afternoon sun wake me as I lay on the dirty clay beach, I cough up what feels like a gallon of water.
I'm Alive.
Somehow I survived an almost certain watery death, I had drifted to shore on the very island I was trying to get to yesterday. Feeling weak I got up and went onward to explore the small man made island. Deciding I need to build a fire and cook up the black wolf meat I have I go looking for wood, Thinking I find a large fallen branch I walk closer to grab it just to find that it was a venerable looking crocodile! Even though he didn't look dangerous he immediately started towards me forcing me to run backwards and eventually jump into the water and swim back to shore. The crocodile followed along slowly, I started walking towards a guard tower nearby for safety but then the beast gave up on the pursuit. With the crocodile on the mainland I decided to go back to the small island and explore a bit more. The only man made item I found on this man made island was an iron lamp with a violet tint.
I spotted a crab and an old looking mountain lion, how did he get on the island?
The more I looked at the crab the more I craved his sweet and salty meat, I considered trying to kill it but worried that I would startle the mountain lion, I chose against it. I decided to rest next to a tree for a moment and write a bit in my journal, just as I sat down I felt a sharp pinch on my leg. The crab was attacking me! Jumping into action I unsheathed my iron short sword and thrust the blade towards the tasty critter. Unfortunately the crab was too strong for me, I was forced to retreat, luckily I was much faster than the crab and was able to get a safe distance going to the other side of the little island.
I looked to the mainland shore, keeping my eye out for the pesky crocodile. I spotted an aged wild cat right on the beach, and again I feel trapped. The sun is coming down quickly and I have nowhere to go. I choose to set up my camp at the far end of the island on a narrow strip of land, far from the creatures on the island. Remembering I have a black wolf fur in my bag I put it on the cold ground and laid on it. I spend some time just laying there, relaxing, and thinking about my plans for the next day before I drift off to sleep.
