START THE JOURNEY!What's this blog about?I am creating this blog to entertain, and educate others on the wonderful world of Wurm Online. I used to play Wurm all the time and I'm returning, starting a new player and writing this blog to share my experiences in Wurm Online.
My players name is Aequalis and I will be roleplaying most of the blog as if I am actually "Aequalis". Some of the story will be exaggerated and dramatized for entertainment value. I will write as I play and write as though the blog is Aequalis' journal. Aequalis Backstory (Based on my old character) I am Aequalis, The Wanderer. Born 22 summers ago on the island of "Chaos". My family was killed by Pirates from the Southlands when I was just a boy. Luckily I escaped with my life, but once I was safe and after the devastation of losing my family subsided I was lost in a huge world with more foes then friends.
After my family had been killed I spent the next week wondering through the forest. I hadn't seen another human since the attack, starving and dehydrated, I met a man named Hance. He led me to a settlement he had built in the middle of a dense forest with a few other lost souls. Hance provided food and water for everyone daily and even gave us tools and clothing. Hance was such a wonderful person. He taught me to swing a sword, he taught me to strike with a hammer, he taught me how to be a man. Years later, I had built a house and even had my own farm. I was surprised at how quickly the memories of death had faded. How quickly I could adapt and flourish. One day Hance told me he would teach me to cook for myself if I went fishing at the nearby pond and brought back at least 10 fish. I happily agreed and went down to the pond hoping to catch some big fish to impress Hance. Hours later I had caught 10 fish and one of them was the length of my short sword! Excitedly I ran back towards the village, barrel of fish in hand. As I got closer to the village I began to smell the sweet smell of Oakwood burning. Hance must have started up the forge already knowing I'd be back soon, I thought. Getting closer and closer to the village the smell of fire grows stronger and stronger. Then the stench hits me, burning flesh, bringing back every memory I had forced from my mind years ago. I knew instantly what had happened. My family had been taken from me again. I walked into our burning village, the shock has numbed my entire body. Corpses line the dirt streets, flames pour from windows and doorways. I run over to the burning remnants of Hances house, hoping to save the man who saved me so many years ago. The flames had already destroyed half of the house allowing me to see the burned body of Hance with a dagger in his throat. That night I decided I had to leave the island of Chaos. A few weeks ago a trader passed through our settlement and spoke of a newly discovered land, Xanadu, A large exotic island to the West. He said many towns he used to cross though had completely packed up and moved to the new world. I decided there must be more opportunity there, So I spent the next year crossing the island of chaos to find a boat captain that would take me to Xanadu. I met an old seaman that called himself Blackplauge, he told me he lived in Xanadu and agreed to let me ride along with him on his trade route as he would be heading back to the big exotic island once he completed his last delivery. I was on my way to start a new life, again. Read The Journal From The Start HereCheck Out The Screenshots Here |
